Winter Tyres – Keeping You On The Road
It’s a long time since I’ve written a blog and it’s about time I got back to it.
I had written some others but the Boss is not that hot when it comes to computers ( likes to think he is ) and he’d managed to loose them. Grrrrr
Anyway, back to my latest blog. You don’t need a nose as good as mine to smell that the air’s getting colder and winter is just about here.
So that got me thinking it’s time for a blog about Winter Tyres.
Sitting up here in the van I get to see all sorts. This time of year and especially when the snow starts to land is lots of sliding cars, bent metal and broken plastic.
Lots of people don’t realise the difference winter tyres can make to how well your car or van handles, especially when it comes to stopping.
Black ice, slush, lying water that can freeze or make you aqua plain and even wet leaves can make driving very dangerous.
Whenever we talk to people about winter tyres, they fall into two categories. Those who’ve never used them and those who’d never go without them.
Every year the Boss spends lots of time visiting clients and swapping normal tyres for winter tyres and every year our customers keep coming back.
Once they’ve realised the added grip, control and above all safety winter tyres can offer, they always use them.
Now I’ve said all this, as good as winter tyres are, they don’t make you invincible.
Sitting high up I often see you humans driving in really inappropriate ways. I’m always amazed at how silly you lot drive, especially in bad weather conditions.
You never us dogs drive like that.
So remember; always plan ahead, read the road ahead, give yourself extra time and distance.
Keep safe.
Why not give the Boss a call? He’ll come round to your or work and have new winter tyres fitted in no time. Don’t be a accident this winter, stay safe.
See you soon, Olly.
